1. Instant petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, seeking quashing of GD No. 45 dated 05.08.2023 registered under Sections 307, 341, 427, 148, 149 IPC At Police Station Jaito, District Faridkot in case FIR No. 115 dated 04.08.2023 registered under Sections 341, 307, 324, 323, 427, 148, 149 IPC at Police Station Jaito, District Faridkot and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.
2. Vide order dated 01.12.2025, the affected parties were directed to appear before the learned Trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate, for getting their respective statements recorded with regard to the compromise.
3. Report dated 08.01.2026 has since been received from learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Jaitu, in pursuance to the directions of this Court REENA 2026.07.10 16:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CRM-M-57329-2025 wherein, the factum of the compromise arrived at between the parties stands verified and confirmed. As per the report compromise has indeed been effected between the parties and the same is without any pressure or coercion and out of their free will and the private respondents have also made statement to the effect that they would have no objection if the FIR qua the accused-petitioner is quashed.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are the only named accused in the FIR in question, and that the private respondent is complainant/aggrieved party therein.

7. In view of the report of the learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Jaitu, and the principles laid down by Hon’ble the Apex Court in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab and others (2012) 10 SCC 303, and also by the Full Bench of this Court in Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and another, 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052, the instant petition is allowed. The aforesaid FIR and all consequential proceedings arising out of it, are quashed.
8. Needless to say the parties shall remain bound by the terms of compromise and their statements recorded before the Court below

Since the FIR in the present case has been quashed and the regular bail petition filed by accused-Karamveer Singh @ Karanveer Singh @ Jashan has become infructuous vide order of even date in CRM-M-20141-2026, as such the accused-petitioner No. 1-Karamveer Singh @ Karanveer Singh @ Jashan, who is stated to be in custody be released forthwith, if not required in any case.
