HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI J. (ORAL)
1. By this common order, 08 writ petitions, the details of which have been given in the heading, are being disposed of as all these petitions involve the same question of law on similar facts.
2. The question raised in the present bunch of writ petitions is for the grant of 2nd ACP to the petitioners as disapproved by the directorate HARSHA RANI 2026.07.10 11:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-33225-2025 & connected cases 3 whereas, the respondents-State is on record to say that the ACP has only been given in case person is eligible for promotion under the Rules but the same could not be granted on account of unavailability of vacancies whereas, as per the Rules governing the issue, the petitioner(s) are not eligible to get promotion as petitioners do not fulfill the requisite qualification and therefore, merely having worked for a particular number of years without there being any required eligibility for promotion, ACP cannot be granted.
3. Probably, after the reply, the respondents might not be interested in pursuing the present petitions as no body has appeared on behalf of the petitioner(s) to defend.
4. In view of the above, the present writ petitions are dismissed for non prosecution.
5. Civil miscellaneous application pending if any, also stands
disposed of.
6. A photocopy of this order be placed on the file of other connected case.
