Present petition has been filed primarily seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to provide security to the petitioner on account of his being witness in a criminal case. Counsel for the State-respondents submits that in the event petitioner desires security on account of being a witness in a criminal case, she may make application under the Witness Protection Scheme before the authority prescribed. Counsel for the petitioner accordingly submits that the petitioner would seek his remedy by making an application under the Witness Protection Scheme before the concerned authority.
