Shruthi S.P., learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Present petition is filed under Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure with the following prayer: WHEREFORE, the petitioner prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to allowt he petition directing the Learned V Addl. Prl. Family Court Bengaluru (South) Bengaluru, to transfer the Matrimonial Petition bearing No.MC No.2471/2025 to the Hon'ble Court of Prl. Family Court Chikkamagaluru, in the interest of justice and equity. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:44430 CP No. 318 of 2025 3. Facts of the case are as under : 3.1 Respondent is the husband of the petitioner who filed a matrimonial case in M.C. No.2471/2025 and sought for dissolution of the marriage took place between the parties and the said case is pending on the file of Family Court, Bangalore. Whereas the petitioner/wife has filed a case for maintenance at Chikmagalur on the file of Family Court. 4. Wife now seeks the transfer of the divorce case to Chikkamagalur on the ground that she is unable to travel to Bangalore and on account of financial difficulties. 5. Geographical distance and financial constraints are no longer good grounds to consider the request of transfer in view of the videoconferencing facility. 6. If the petitioner files an application seeking permission to appear through videoconference before the court at Bangalore, learned Trial Judge at Family Court, Bangalore shall allow the petitioner to appear through - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:44430 CP No. 318 of 2025 videoconference and effectively participate in the pending Divorce petition. 7.
