By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the Assistant Collector, First Class, Vikas Nagar, District Dehradun to expedite hearing of Case No. 43 of 2009-10, pending under Section 166/167 of Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, 1950. 3. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that proceedings under Sections 166/167 of the aforesaid Act were initiated against petitioner in the year 2000, Assistant Collector, First Class, Vikas Nagar, District Dehradun had decided the proceedings against petitioner vide order dated 07.11.2006, which was challenged by petitioner before Additional Chief Revenue Commissioner, Uttarakhand and learned Additional Chief Revenue Commissioner, vide judgment dated 04.01.2010 set aside the order passed by Assistant Collector, First Class and remanded the matter for decision a fresh after hearing the parties. He further submits that 2025:UHC:5666 after the remand, case is re-numbered as Case No. 43 of 2009-2010. 4. Having regard to the fact that proceedings were initiated against petitioner in 2000, writ petition is disposed of with a request to Assistant Collector concerned to make endeavour to decide the proceedings of aforesaid case within one year from date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
