The Petitioner had sought for the following substantive reliefs in this Petition:- “a) that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a writ of Mandamus or a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction to the Respondents to ensure smooth flow of traffic on the Subject Road by removing vehicle abandoned or parked in a non- parking zone and parked in a way causing PALLAVI MAHENDRA WARGAONKAR Digitally signed by PALLAVI MAHENDRA WARGAONKAR Date: 2025.12.01 15:11:58 +0530 16-WP-1035-2024 (OS).DOCX obstruction to pedestrian and vehicular movement on daily basis; b) that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus or a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction to the Respondents to take joint action in removing unauthorised hawkers on the Subject Road and unauthorised hawkers in the immediate vicinity of GTB Nagar Monorail station; c) that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus or a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction thereby direction to the Respondent No.4 and 5 to depute constables on the Subject Road between 9.00 A.M to 9.PM to ensure congestion free vehicular movement on the Subject Road.” 2. Ms. Kantharia, learned Government Pleader states that the abandoned vehicles that were causing obstruction have now been removed. The traffic flow is as smooth as it can be in the City of Mumbai. She places on record photographs which show that the abandoned vehicles have been removed. 3. Based on the aforesaid, the learned counsel for the Petitioner, on instructions, states that the Petitioners are for the present satisfied and the Petition can be disposed of. 4.
