The present petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India for setting aside/quashing the order dated 14.05.2024 (Annexure P-1). 2. Mr. Somesh Arora, learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab, has submitted that the objection petition filed by the petitioner- State under Section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act') along with the prayer for stay of the award is pending before the learned Additional District Judge, Chandigarh from the year 2017 and the same has not been decided. He submitted that even the prayer for stay has not been decided, with the result that the respondents are proceeding to press upon the execution application in which large property of the State has been attached. He submitted that the only limited prayer of the petitioner is that the prayer for stay which was prayed RAKESH KUMAR 2025.09.26 16:16 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment CR-4047-2025(O&M) -2- for in the objections filed under Section 34 of the Act be decided as expeditiously as possible. 3.
