1. Present criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and their family members from the hands of respondents No.5 to 8.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, inter alia, contends that petitioners No.2 & 3 are brother and wife of petitioner No.1 respectively. Further, petitioners No.2 & 3 had filed a civil suit bearing No.CS/1028/2022 titled as Amandeep Dhillon and another Vs. Darshan Singh (Annexure P-1) and another and petitioner No.1 also got registered an FIR No.98 dated VISHNU 2025.07.11 16:59 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh
CRWP-7382-2025 -2- 22.08.2022 under Sections 406, 420, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Dakha, District Ludhiana Rural (Annexure P-2), which are pending adjudication before the jurisdictional Courts. The petitioners also filed various petitions before this Court against the private respondents, out of which some have been decided and during pendency of the same, the private respondents approached the petitioners to withdraw the cases filed against them. Further, in order to put pressure on the petitioners, the private respondents filed false and frivolous complaints against them and at their behest, respondent No.4 is threatening the petitioners to withdraw the civil litigation pending before the jurisdictional Court, else he would implicate them in some false case. Learned counsel for the petitioners relies upon Whatsapp message sent by office bearer/Reader of respondent No.4 (Annexure P-4) and contends that petitioner No.2, wife of petitioner No.1, has been called to appear before respondent No.4. Having left with no other option, petitioner No.1 approached the higher police authorities by submitting the representation dated 29.06.2025 (Annexure P-3), but till date, the same has not been decided.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the petitioners would be satisfied, in case a direction is issued to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the representation dated 29.06.2025 (Annexure P-3) submitted by petitioner No.1 in a time bound manner.

Keeping in view the prayer made by the petitioners and without commenting anything on the merits of the case, present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the representation dated 29.06.2025 (Annexure P-3) submitted by petitioner No.1 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
