At the outset, learned State counsel refers to paragraphs No.6 and 7 of affidavit filed by the Director Sports Punjab, wherein it has been mentioned that vide office order dated 22.08.2022, the anomaly in the pay of the petitioner has been rectified and the pay band of the petitioner has been revised in accordance with Rule 7 of Punjab Civil Service (Revised Pay) Rules 2009 and accordingly his pay has been stepped up to equal to the junior employee Palwinder Kaur as on date of her promotion i.e. 30.04.2007 with re-fixation at Rs.19240/- instead of Rs.18400/- and further pay bands of the petitioner have also been revised, to which there is no rebuttal by way of replication, despite time having been sought on 05.09.2022, on which date the statement to the aforesaid effect was also recorded.
