Petitioner has sought a writ of quo warranto to declare the appointment and continuance of Dr. Alaknanda Ashok, (respondent no. 14) as Director of Women Institute of Technology, as illegal and void ab initio. 9. Learned counsel for the University, 2025:UHC:1924-DB as well as learned State Counsel, would submit that Dr. Alaknanda Ashok, (respondent no. 14) is no more serving as Director, Women Institute of Technology, and she has resumed her duties, as professor, in her parent organisation i.e. G.B. Pant, University on 26.02.2020. 10. Since respondent no. 14 demitted office as Director, Women Institute of Technology, no useful purpose would be served by keeping this Writ Petition pending, as the reliefs claimed in the Writ Petition do not survive. 11. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed off. However, petitioner shall be at liberty to approach an appropriate forum with regard to the remaining reliefs. (Ashish Naithani, J.)
