PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner herein/A2, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.73 of 2024 of Moothugudem Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 111(2)(b) of the BNS and Section 20(b)(ii)(C) r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 2. Case of the prosecution is that, on 16.10.2024, the Sub- Inspector of police, along with his staff and mediators rushed to near Daralamma Thalli Temple, Outskirts of Polluru village, and caught the accused in possession of 2 Kgs of liquid ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediators report. 3. Heard. Perused the record. 2 4. The petitioner herein was arrested on 16.10.2024 and since then he has been in judicial custody. The quantity of contraband involved in present crime is 2Kgs of liquid ganja, which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner does not deserve for grant of bail at this stage. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. _____________________ K.
