This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Commissioner Azamgarh Division Azamgarh to decide the Appeal No.C202515000001533 (Prema Devi vs. Lalmati and others) under section 38(4) of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 and the stay application filed therein for protection of the land in dispute and till the stay application filed in the appeal is decided status quo in regard to the land in dispute may be directed to be maintained by the parties, in the interest of justice." 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that stay application is pending consideration in Appeal No.C202515000001533 (Prema Devi vs. Lalmati and others) under section 38(4) of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 before respondent no. 2. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for expeditious disposal of the said stay application. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit or issuing notice to private respondents, with a direction upon respondent No.2 to decide stay application in Appeal No.C202515000001533 (Prema Devi vs. Lalmati and others) under section 38(4) of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the matter on merits.
