2. The case of the prosecution is that the accused/petitioner, who hails from the State of Odisha, was found to be in illegal possession of 2.530 kilograms of Ganja chocolate. Hence the case. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for the grant of bail. 4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and opposed for the grant of bail to the petitioner stating that the petitioner hails from the State of Odisha, therefore, if he is released on bail, he may abscond and not available for further investigation. 5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) and perused the materials available on record. When the matter was taken up for hearing, this Court found that the petitioner, suppressing the filing of the present petition, had filed another bail petition in Crl.O.P.No.19702 of 2025 in respect of the same crime number through another counsel and the same is also pending before this Court. 7. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the conduct of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 8. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 14.07.2025
