Supplementary affidavit filed by the learned counsel for the petitioners is taken on record. This case has been taken out of turn upon mention being made by the counsel for the petitioners that the parties had amicably settled the matter before the mediation centre. From the compromise which is appended to the supplementary affidavit which has been filed today, we find that the parties have amicably settled the dispute amongst themselves and that also petitioners have provided Rs. 20,00,000/- to the respondent no. 4. Under such circumstances, no useful purpose would be served by continuing the criminal case against the petitioner. The First Information Report dated 01.07.2024 registered as Case Crime No. 35 of 2024 under Sections 498-A, 323, 504, 506 IPC and 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 in Police Station Mahila Thana, District Firozabad is quashed. The writ petition is allowed.
