1. Petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.107 dated 18.12.2019 under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B Indian Penal Code, Police Station Mullepur, District Fatehgarh Sahib and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 25.09.2025. 2. On 15.10.2025, this Court directed the parties to appear before learned trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate for recording of their statements on the basis of compromise. 3. In compliance of the aforesaid order, parties appeared before learned JMIC, Fatehgarh Sahib on 14.11.2025. Statement of Investigating Officer Retd. SI Gurbachan Singh was recorded on 15.11.2025. Learned JMIC, Fatehgarh Sahib has submitted her report recording satisfaction that all the parties have entered into a valid compromise without any influence or SUMIT SINGLA 2026.07.07 19:23 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

“ I have the honour to submit that the parties i.e. accused Jaspreet Singh and Jasvir Singh (petitioners before the Hon'ble High Court) and complainant Sakinder Kaur (respondent no.2 and Rishpal Kaur respondent no.3) before the Hon'ble High Court) at whose instance FIR No.107 dated 18.12.2019 under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC in Police Station Mulepur, District Fatehgarh Sahib, appeared before me on 14.11.2025. Accordingly, statement of complainant Sakinder Kaur, Rishapl Kaur and statement of accused persons Jaspreet Singh and Jasvir Singh were recorded by me after satisfying myself that they are not under any sort of pressure and are making their statements voluntarily. As per statement of complainant Sakinder Kaur and Rishpal Kaur, the matter has been compromised amicably with accused persons named above without any threat, pressure or coercion with the intervention of respectables. They further stated that they have no objection if FIR No.107 dated 18.12.2019 under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC in Police Station Muiepur. District Fatehgarh Sahib, be quashed. Accused persons Jaspreet Singh and Jasvir Singh have also got recorded their statement that the matter has been compromised amicably in the said FIR with complainant Sakindar Kaur and Rishpal Kaur, without any threat, pressure or coercion with the intervention of respectables.
As per order of the Hon'ble High court, accused Jaspreet Singh and Jasvir Singh also deposited Rs.10,000/- in the account of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Account SUMIT SINGLA 2026.07.07 19:23 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Copies of Adhar cards of the parties have been taken on record as Mark 1 to Mark 4. It is further submitted by Retired SI Gurbachan Singh, the then Investigating Officer of the present case, that he had conducted investigation in FIR No.107 dated 18.12.2019 under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC in Police Station Mulepur, District Fatehgarh Sahib. As per his statement no accused has been declared as a proclaimed offender in the present FIR and there is no other criminal case pending against the accused persons named above. It is further submitted that from the above said statements of the parties so recorded by me, the compromise arrived at between the parties apparently appears to be a genuine compromise and is the voluntary act of the parties without there being any sort of pressure, threat or coercion from any corner. The report with regard to compromise on the basis of separate statements of the parties, is accordingly being submitted for your kind perusal.”
4. Learned State counsel and learned counsel for respondents No.2 and 3 have not raised any dispute regarding the factum of compromise between petitioners and respondents No.2 and 3. 5. Since the matter has been amicably settled between the parties, continuation of the criminal proceedings would be an exercise in futility. 6. Following principles of law laid down by the Full Bench
Judgment of this Court in “Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and another” 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052 and Hon’ble Supreme Court in
“Gian Singh Versus State of Punjab and others” (2012) 10 SCC 303, the petition is allowed.
7. FIR No.107 dated 18.12.2019 under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B Indian Penal Code, Police Station Mullepur, District Fatehgarh Sahib and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed qua the petitioners.
8. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, stand disposed of.
