Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 438 Cr.P.C.), is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who has been booked in a criminal case arising out of FIR No.111 dated 10.05.2025, under Sections 409, 417, 465, 468, 471, 120-B IPC and under Seciton 7(C) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Amendment Act, 2018 registered at Police Station City Tarn Taran. 2. On 01.09.2025, following order was passed: “(i) Learned counsel submits that the petitioner was part of a 5 member Committee who had sanctioned 66 bills amounting to approximately Rs.29,30,000/-, however, the FIR has been registered only against him and one Accountant, despite the fact that proper tendering process had been followed.
