This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to decide his representation dated 18.03.2025 pertaining to the irregularities committed in the implementation of MGNREGA Scheme. 2. Submissions have been made that illegalities have been committed in giving contract to the subordinate of the officer concerned and, therefore, an appropriate action should have been taken qua the complaint made. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the petitioner has a remedy under the provisions of the U.P. Employment Guarantee Grievance Redressal Mechanism Rules, 2009 ('the Rules, 2009') under which he can make a complaint, which would be processed/decided in terms of the said Rules, 2009 and filing of the PIL for the said purpose is not justified. 4. Having gone through the averments made in the petition and the the representation annexed, we do not find any reason why the petitioner cannot approach the authorities under the Rules, 2009 which are meant for grievance redressal, as made by the petitioner in the representation. 5. Consequently, the PIL is disposed of. The petitioner is free to take appropriate proceedings under the Rules, 2009. In case any proceedings are initiated, the same shall be dealt with appropriately by the competent authority.
