The present writ petition is filed praying for writ of Mandamus, to direct 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.25937 of 2025 the third and fifth respondents to refer the application dated 08.03.2021 of the petitioner company seeking higher compensation to the District Court, Kancheepuram for fixation of fair award amount under Section 20 of Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 3. The case of the petitioner is that they submitted an application dated 08.03.2021 before the third and fifth respondents to refer the matter to the District Court, Kancheepuram for fixation of fair award amount. However, the said application has not been considered so far. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 4. At the outset, it was submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents that the above application would be considered and appropriate measures would be initiated, in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner. 5. In view thereof, the respondents 3 and 5 shall consider the application dated 08.03.2021 of the petitioner and initiate appropriate measure within a period 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.25937 of 2025 of four (4) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy.
