JUSTICE PARTHIVJYOTI SAIKIA ORDER 23.04.2025 Heard Mr. Z. Kamar, learned senior counsel appearing for the applicant. Also heard Ms. N. Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam. It is submitted that the appellant Ganesh Barman in the connected Criminal Appeal No. 323/2022 had expired while he was still in custody. Now, his wife Smti. Minakshi Bhuyan intends to contest the appeal filed by her deceased husband. Therefore, she submits that she should be impleaded in the said appeal in place of her deceased husband Ganesh Barman. After hearing the learned counsel for both the sides, prayer is allowed. The name of Smti. Minakshi Bhuyan shall be substituted in place of late Ganesh Barman in the title page of the Criminal Appeal No. 323/2022 as well as in the IA (Crl) 7725/2022. Registry shall do the necessary correction as directed. After making the correction, the appeal as well as the interlocutory application shall be listed for hearing. The IA(Crl) stands disposed of.
