The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to grant her family pension and other consequential benefits. 2. The petitioner’s husband passed away on 22.06.2012 while in harness. The petitioner was granted monthly financial assistance from September’ 2012 to June’ 2024. She is claiming family pension after stoppage of monthly financial assistance. The respondent has withheld her claim with following observations:- “Now his legal heir submit her request regarding continuing of Financial assistance in form of family pension and submit her family pension case, but at the time of scrutinized of their documents and found that GPF account no./PRAN no was not opened by his previous office as intimated by XEN (OP) City Divn. UHBVN, Sonipat with remarks that the official has not applied for the PRAN no as Shivani Gupta 2025.07.07 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-18235-2025 2 per record of their office vide his office memo no. Ch 10/EP- 2889 dt 14/10/2021. Keeping in view of the above, you are again requested to impart necessary direction on this regard so that further necessary action could be taken accordingly.” 3. Faced with claim of the petitioner, Ms. Rajni Gupta, Addl. A.G., Haryana, who on advance notice is present in Court, submits that claim of petitioner would be finally determined within 2 months from today. If she is found eligible, family pension and other benefits would be released to her within 2 months of determination of claim. 4. Mr. Nikhil Vats agrees to the aforesaid arrangement. 5.
