This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Court of respondent no. 2 i.e. Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsil Phulpur District Allahabad to decide the Case No. 448/45/33/30/27/18 of 1985 (Abdul Rashid & another Vs. Ram Bhajan & others) under section 229-B of the U.P. Z.A. & L.R. Act within a stipulated time and period as the case is pending Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsil Phulpur since 1985." 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that Case No. 448/45/33/30/27/18 of 1985 (Abdul Rashid & another Vs. Ram Bhajan & others) under section 229-B of the U.P. Z.A. & L.R. Act is pending consideration before respondent no. 2 since 1985. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for expeditious disposal of the same. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit or issuing notice to private respondents, with a direction upon respondent No.2 to decide Case No. 448/45/33/30/27/18 of 1985 (Abdul Rashid & another Vs. Ram Bhajan & others) under section 229-B of the U.P. Z.A. & L.R. Act, in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the matter on merits.
