(ORAL) The writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950 seeks a direction to official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners. Respondent No.3 is also sought to be directed to decide representation dated 27.06.2025 (Annexure P-1) submitted by the petitioners, in a time bound manner. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied if appropriate direction is issued to respondent No.3- Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, Punjab to consider and decide representation dated 27.06.2025 (Annexure P-1) moved by petitioners and take necessary action thereupon in a time bound manner. Keeping in view the limited prayer made by counsel for petitioners, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3- Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, Punjab to decide the aforesaid representation dated 27.06.2025 (Annexure P-1) submitted by petitioners within a period of one month from today by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law and take necessary action, if so required. However, if, respondent No.3 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation (Annexure P-1), the petitioners shall be informed as per mandate of law.
