In oppugnation, learned Special Public Prosecutor for NCB has opposed the grant of interim bail to the petitioner by iterating that there are other family member(s), who are competent to perform the remaining last rituals of the petitioner’s mother. He has further iterated that the petitioner may also pose a flight risk, particularly keeping in view the seriousness and gravity of the allegations levelled against him in the present petition. It has been further contended that if the petitioner is released on interim bail, there exists a strong possibility that he may evade from the process of law. Furthermore, it has also been brought to the notice of this Court that another case registered by the NCB is pending against the petitioner. Learned Public Prosecutor has, however, not denied the factum of the petitioner’s mother having passed away on 27.06.2026, as also the factum of the petitioner having surrendered back to custody in time after availing the earlier 10 days interim regular bail. On the strength of aforesaid grounds as also the conduct and antecedents, it has been prayed that the petitioner is not entitled to the concession of interim bail. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the rival parties and have perused the available record. 5.
