Goswami, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the applicant. 2. This is an application filed under Order XLI Rule 5 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 praying for stay of the operation of the judgment and award dated 17.12.2024 passed by the learned Member, MACT, Cachar in MAC Case No.383/2018. 3. Taking into account that the accompanying Appeal has already been admitted on the grounds of objection raised, it is Page No.# 3/3 the opinion of this Court that the impugned judgment and award dated 17.12.2024 passed by the learned Member, MACT, Cachar in MAC Case No.383/2018 is required to be stayed pending disposal of the Appeal however subject to deposit of 50% of the amount along with interest so awarded by the learned Tribunal before the Registry of this Court within six weeks from today. 4. Accordingly, the impugned judgment and award dated 17.12.2024 passed by the learned Member, MACT, Cachar in MAC Case No.383/2018 is stayed subject to deposit of 50% of the said awarded amount before the Registry of this Court within 6(six) weeks from today. 5. The claimants are granted liberty to file appropriate application before the Registry of this Court and upon such application being filed, the Registry shall after making due identification and upon proper verification and furnishing of the bank details, release the said amount to the claimants. 6.
