Bora, learned senior counsel, assisted by Mr. R. Borthakur, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor appearing for the State respondent. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, wherein the petitioner, namely, Bidul Roy, has prayed for grant of bail in connection with Dispur P.S. Case No.21/2025 under Sections 61(2)/318(4)/336(3)/340(2) of the BNS. Page No.# 2/2 A person had got one sale deed registered and the present petitioner, being a lawyer, identified the seller and also put his signature as a witness. The petitioner has already spent 32 days in judicial custody. This Court is of the opinion that under the given circumstances, the petitioner deserves to be released on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, in connection with the above noted case, is allowed to go on bail of Rs.20,000/- with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Kamrup (M), Guwahati, Assam.
