JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA O R D E R 27-02-2025 [1] Present Mr. D. Julius Riamei, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned Government Advocate appearing for the State respondents. [2] In the writ petition, the petitioner prays for (i) declaring himself as Chief/Khunbu cum Ex-Officio Chairman of Guangram (Punglam) Village, Noney District, Manipur and (ii) directing the respondents to pass a speaking order on the representation dated 05-02-2025 submitted to the Secretary (TA & Hills), Government of Manipur. [3] This Court issued notice on 21-02-2025 and the matter was fixed on 02-04-2025. However, the petitioner filed an application being MC(WP(C)) No. 155 of 2025 inter alia confining his prayers to 2nd prayer of disposal of the representation dated 05-02-2025 within a certain time frame. WP(C) No. 166 of 2025 & MC(WP(C)) No. 155 of2025 [4] Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned Government Advocate appearing for the State respondents, submits that this Court may pass an innocuous order for disposal of the representation as prayed for. [5] Recording the submissions made at the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No. 1, i.e. Secretary (TA & Hills), Government of Manipur to dispose of the representation dated 05-02-2025 submitted by the petitioner by a speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [6] MC(WP(C)) No. 155 of 2025 is also disposed of. [7] Furnish a copy of this order to the learned counsel appearing for the parties.
