UT of J&K and Ors. ...Respondent(s) Through: Mr. A. R. Malik, Sr. AAG with Mr. Mohammad Younis, Assisting Counsel CORAM: HON’BLE MR JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL, JUDGE O R D E R 21.05.2025 1. Petitioner seeks a direction upon respondents to issue appointment order in her favour in a time bound manner and allow her to perform duties as Sangni (Anganwadi Worker) at Anganwadi Centre Hafizabad- A Ward-4. She also seeks a direction upon respondents to take a decision on the representations made by her from time to time and pass a speaking and reasoned order on the same. 2. The case set up by the petitioner is that she along with other candidates have applied in pursuance of Advertisement Notification No.01/2023 for the post of Sangni (Anganwadi Worker). She has been engaged to the said post. 3. It is submitted by learned counsel for petitioners that despite the fact that petitioner has been engaged as Sangni (Anganwadi Worker), the respondents are neither issuing the appointment order to the petitioner nor allowing her to join her duties. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing for a while, submits that petitioner would feel satisfied if the respondents are directed to consider the representation of petitioner within a particular time frame. 5. Mr. A. R. Malik, Sr. AAG, submits that the respondents will consider the representation, if any, made or to be made by petitioner and if they find that the petitioner is eligible and entitled as per the criteria and the rules applicable to the subject, the respondents will pass necessary orders regarding the same. 6. Viewed in the above context, it will be futile to keep this petition pending on board and the same is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the respondents to treat the writ petition as representation of petitioner and consider and decide it within a period of two months from the date copy of this order along with complete paper book is made available to them. The respondents while considering the representation of petitioner shall also take into account the rules and regulations governing the field and after hearing the petitioner, shall pass appropriate orders. 7. Malik, Sr.AAG, who shall forward the same along with copy of writ petition with its all annexures to the concerned authority.
