The petitioner has filed the present writ application on the ground that due to running of illegal saw mill by the private respondent, the petitioner is facing great difficulties. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has made several representations to the authorities for closure of the saw mill of the private respondent which is being run by the private respondent without any licnese but in spite of the same the authorities are not taken any steps. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the State has handed over a closure notice issued by the Range Officer to the private respondent on December 7, 2025 wherein the private respondent is directed to close the saw mill and take away all machinery within seven days from the date of issuance of the notice. 2 4. Learned counsel for the private respondent submits that the private respondent is having all the documents for obtaining license for running saw mill but unfortunately the website of the authority for granting lincese of saw mill is temporary closed due to which the private respondent could not obtain the licnese. 5. Heard the learned counsel for the respective parties. 6. Perused the materials on record, this Court finds that the grievance of the petitioner is that the private respondent is running the saw mill illegally and due to which the petitioner is facing great difficulties. Now the respondents have already issued the closure notice to the private respondent and directing the private respondent to close the saw mill and take away the machineries. 7. In view of the above, this Court finds that no purpose could be served by keeping the present writ application pending. 8. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Divisional Forest Officer, Hooghly Division to see that the private respondent shall comply with the closure notice issued by the Range Officer on December 7, 2025. 9. It is made clear that if the private respondent is made any application for grant of licnese the same may be considered in accordance with law. 10. WPA 24317 of 2025 is disposed of. 11. Urgent Xerox certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities. (Krishna Rao, J.)
