Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3. The petitioner is holding an account on the file of the fourth respondent in account No.921020034716492. While being so, on the complaint, the third respondent registered the FIR in Crime No.10 of 2025 for the offence punishable under Sections 318(4), 112 of BNS r/w. 5, 7(3) of the Lottery Regulation Act. The crime proceeds to the tune of https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.Crl.No.1680 of 2025 Rs.69 lakhs have been transferred to the account of one Selvaraj and thereafter transferred to the petitioner’s account. While the investigation is under progress, the second respondent sent instruction to the fourth respondent to de-freeze the petitioner’s account. Now the investigation is still pending in Crime No.10 of 2025. Therefore, the direction sought for in this Writ Petition to de-freeze the petitioner’s account cannot be considered and the Writ Petition is devoid of merits and is .liable to be dismissed. However, the third respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.10 of 2025 and file a final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed.
