JUSTICE SHIVASHANKAR AMARANNAVAR ORAL ORDER 1. Petitioner and her learned counsel are present. 2. Respondent and her learned counsel are present. 3. A joint memo is filed. As per the joint memo the matter is settled for Rs.4,25,000/- including Rs.2,84,000/- deposited by the petitioner before the trial Court. Petitioner has no objection for the respondent withdrawing Rs.2,84,000/- deposited before the trial Court. Petitioner has agreed to pay the balance amount of Rs.1,41,000/- on or before 16.09.2025. If petitioner fails to pay the balance amount of Rs.1,41,000/- on or before 16.09.2025, the judgment passed by the trial Court would revive. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:26452 CRL.RP No. 1606 of 2016 4. In view of the above settlement, offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act is compounded. In view of compounding of offence revision petition is disposed of as offence compounded. Respondent is permitted to withdraw Rs.2,84,000/- deposited by the petitioner before the trial Court. If the petitioner fails to pay the balance amount of Rs.1,41,000/- as agreed, the judgment passed by the trial Court will revive. 5. Respondent is directed to furnish her bank account details to the trial Court in order to enable the trial Court to transfer the amount in deposit to her Bank account directly.
