2. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Keredari P.S. Case No. 04 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 17(b), 18(b), 22(b) & 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S. Act, Hazaribagh.
3. On 06.01.2025, Keredari Police, apprehended co-accused Baijnath Mahto and seized 700 grams of opium from his possession.
4. It was submitted that name of the petitioner has transpired in the confession of co-accused Baijnath Mahto. It was further submitted that petitioner was neither arrested at the spot, nor anything incriminating has been recovered from his possession. It was finally submitted that co-accused Jageshwar Dangi, Atik Ali and Md. Afnan have been granted bail by this Court earlier.
5. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S. Act, Hazaribagh in connection with Keredari P.S. Case No. 04 of 2025.
