ORAL ORDER
1. The present Writ Petition is led praying for the following reliefs :-
“(A) To allow this application; (B) To issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction directing the concerned authorities more particularly respondent no.2 to issue a fresh birth certicate to the petitioner by showing the correct date of birth as ‘09.02.1992’ instead of ‘16.02.1992’ in the birth certicate. (C) To pass such other and further orders as the Hon’ble Court deems just and expedient.”
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has led an additional adavit dated 27.11.2025. As per the said adavit, the petitioner has, for the rst time, produced the original birth certicate issued
C/SCA/10828/2025 ORDER DATED: 11/12/2025 in old format, which records the date of birth of the petitioner as
“09.02.1992’. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this document was not placed before the respondent No.2 herein.
3. Considering the above submissions, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh application to the respondent No.2 for correction in the date of birth in the birth certicate. The petitioner shall be at liberty le the additional documents as claimed for correction of the date of birth. If such an application is led, the respondent No.2 shall expeditiously decide the said application by taking into
consideration the relevant documents and pass a reasoned order within a period of four weeks.
4. With the above direction, the present Special Civil Application stands disposed of.
5. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case and no opinion is expressed thereon. Direct service is permitted.
