Hon'ble Vinod Diwakar,J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners; Shri Ambrish Shukla, learned Addl. Chief Standing Counsel for State respondent and Shri Vaibhav Tripathi, learned counsel for National Highway Authority of India (in short "NHAI"). 2. The instant writ petition has been preferred for a direction to respondents to pay compensation to the petitioners in pursuance of the award dated 05.07.2017 declared by the Competent Authority/ Addl. District Magistrate (F&R), Distt. Auraiya in respect of the land in question. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners, on the basis of pleadings, as has been set up before us, has tried to portray that the petitioners are having absolute title/ claim over the property in question, which has been acquired. He submits that inspite of best efforts, till date the compensation in lieu of the award has not been released. Such situation has impelled the petitioners to invoke the writ jurisdiction. 4. Learned counsel for the respondents ask for reasonable time to get appropriate instructions to apprise the correct status. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we find that no useful purpose will be served in keeping the writ petition pending consideration.
