JUSTICE JAVED IQBAL WANI, JUDGE O R D E R 12-02-2025 In the instant contempt petition, the petitioners have alleged non- compliance of the order dated 05.05.2021, whereby this Court, while disposing of the petition of the petitioners, directed the District Magistrate, Srinagar, to conclude the proceedings in the matter arising out of the Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Immovable Property (Preservation, Protection and Restraints on Distress Sales) Act, 1997, at the earliest without any unnecessary delay. Upon coming of this matter for consideration today, learned counsel for the respondents-contemnors produced a copy of compliance report, which is taken on record, along with an order dated 11.01.2025 passed by the District Magistrate, Srinagar, a perusal whereof would reveal that in compliance to the order dated 05.05.2021 passed by this Court, the Junaid Ayoub I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document proceedings under the Act of 1997 have been concluded by the respondents-contemnors. In view of the aforesaid position obtaining in the matter, the order dated 05.05.2021 seemingly has been complied with necessitating recalling of the contempt notice and closure of the proceedings.
