Jahid, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. N. Das, the learned Addln. Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 for grant of pre-arrest bail in respect of Laharighat PS Case No. 25/2025. 3. One contractor had handed over 600 numbers of A-Type Geo bags to the petitioner. The Page No.# 2/2 petitioner was to fill up the bags with sand and thereafter, the filled up bags were to be laid by the side of the river bank. It was discovered that only 400 numbers of Geo bags were found and the remaining 200 numbers of Geo bags were put under the sand. 4. The Investigating Officer has objected to this bail application. 5. CD reveals that there are sufficient incriminating materials against the present petitioner. 6. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 7. This Court is of the opinion that at this stage, allowing the prayer of the petitioner would amount to interference to police investigation. 8. Therefore, the bail application of the petitioner Jakir Hussain is rejected and disposed of accordingly. The case diary shall be returned. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
