This writ petition was filed in 2020, seeking the following relief:- “i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to give posting to the petitioner on the post of Tehsildar in pursuance of order dated 30-4-2020 issued by Board of Revenue.” 4. In sum and substance, petitioner was seeking enforcement of order dated 30.04.2020, issued by Board of Revenue, Uttarakhand, whereby ad-hoc promotion was given to as many as 18 Naib Tehsildars, including the petitioner, to the post of Tehsildar. No interim order was passed in the writ petition. 5. Learned State Counsel refers to the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition where age of petitioner in 2020 is mentioned 2025:UHC:5900-DB as 58 years. He submits that going by the age indicated in the affidavit, petitioner must have retired in 2022. Thus, he submits that relief as claimed in the writ petition do not survive, after superannuation of the petitioner. 6. We find substance in the said submission. 7.
