(ORAL) Prayer in the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to safeguard the life and liberty of the petitioner and to take stern and legal action against private respondents No.3 to 5, who are trying to falsely implicated the petitioner in false case. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is being harassed by respondents No.3 to 5 as they are regularly visiting his house. He submits that the petitioner is not required in any case and despite that he is being harassed. Notice of motion. Mr. J.S. Arora, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State. On instructions, he has submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender as three other cases are pending against him. He further submits that necessary action as required, would be taken strictly, in accordance with law. After hearing learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent-State to take necessary action, in case the petitioner is required, in accordance with law.
