HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT SRINAGAR CRM(M) No. 106/2025 Hilal Rashid Itoo …Petitioner(s) Through: None Vs. UT through Police Station Qazigund and Ors.
...Respondent(s) Through: Mr. Kais Noor, GA, for 1 and 2 Ms. Tabinda Yousuf, Adv, vice Mr. Shuja ul Haq, Adv, for 3 to 10
CORAM:
HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE.
ORDER 21.04.2026
01. Learned counsel for the official respondents has drawn the attention of this Court to the reply filed by the respondents 3 to 10. A perusal whereof reveals that on the basis of the facts of the case, the investigation of the case has been closed as < Not Admitted= and approved by SDPO, Qazigund vide
Order No. SDPO(Q)/PP-1/2025/14735 dated 28th November, 2025.
02. Thus, in the light of the stand taken by the respondents, the instant petition challenging the impugned FIR and challan, if any, also loses its significance as the detailed investigation has been carried out by the Investigating Agency and the case of the petitioner has not been proved.
03. In view of the above, the instant petition is rendered infructuous as the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed and this perhaps may be the reason that there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.
04. The instant petition is, accordingly, dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
05. Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.
06.
