ORAL ORDER
This petition is filed by the petitioner –accused No.1 under Section 482 of BNSS praying to grant anticipatory bail in Crime No.159/2025 Thilaknagara Police Station registered for offences punishable under Sections 3 and 4 of Drug Prohibition Act and Section 85 read with Section 3(5) of BNS
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional SPP for the respondent -State.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the marriage of the petitioner with complainant has taken place on 09.03.2025. After some days the complainant went to her parents’ house due to some quarrel between them and she did not return and went to Bengaluru. The petitioner has filed missing

complaint to the police and police has issued acknowledgment dated 22.06.2025. Thereafter, to take revenge against the petitioner, complainant has filed false complaint. The offences alleged against the petitioner are not punishable either with death or imprisonment for life. The petitioner is ready to co-operate with the police in investigation and abide by any conditions to be imposed on this Court. The petitioner is not having any criminal antecedents. With this, he prayed to allow the petition.
4. Per contra, learned Additional SPP for the respondent –State would contend that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation. There is allegation of physical and mental harassment by this petitioner to the complainant. With this she prayed to reject the petition.
5. Having heard learned counsels, the Court has perused the FIR, complaint and other materials placed on record.
6. As per averments of the complaint, the marriage of the petitioner with the complaint has taken

place on 09.03.2025 and thereafter, the complainant resided with the petitioner and his family members. It is alleged that the petitioner and his family members have demanded dowry and harassed the complainant physically and mentally. The offences alleged against the petitioner are not punishable either with death or imprisonment for life. The petitioner has undertaken to co-operate with Investigating Officer in investigation. The petitioner is not having any criminal antecedents. Considering the above aspects, the petitioner has made out case for grant of anticipatory bail with conditions.
7. In the result, the following
ORDER i) The petition is allowed. ii) The petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of his arrest in Crime No.159/2025 of Thilaknagar Police Station subject to following conditions:

a) The petitioner -accused No.1 shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from this day and execute a bail bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with one surety for the like sum to the satisfaction of Investigating Officer.
b) The petitioner –accused No.1 shall co- operate with Investigating Officer in investigation and appear before the Investigating Officer whenever called for.
c) The petitioner -accused No.1 shall not threaten the complainant and other prosecution witnesses.
d) The petitioner –accused No.1 shall not directly or indirectly make an inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such a facts to the court or police officer or tamper with the evidence.
