In this writ petition, the petitioners have sought for following relief/s: “a) Direct Respondents No.2 and 3, i.e., the Deputy Director of Public Instructions Chamarajnagar District and the Block Education Officer of Gundlupet Block, to initiate appropriate departmental and regulatory action against Respondent No.4 for violation of rules concerning service conditions and illegal termination of Petitioners; b) Direct Respondents No.2 and 3 to initiate appropriate departmental enquiry regarding the pending salary dues of the Petitioners for the month of March & April 2025 and ensure payment of full service benefits in accordance with law. c) Issue a writ of mandamus by directing the Respondents No.2 to 4 to reinstate the petitioners to the post of Teacher at 4th Respondent School by considering the representations dated 15-4-2025 appended at Annexure- J, J1, J2 And Annexure K, K1, K2 in accordance with law. d) Award compensation to the Petitioners against Respondent No.4 for the mental agony, harassment, - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:34185 WP No. 14490 of 2025 reputational loss, and economic hardship suffered due to the illegal actions of Respondent No.4. d) Pass such other orders or directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice and equity under the facts and circumstances of the case.” 2. At the outset, the learned AGA has submitted that the petitioners have to approach the competent authority under the provisions of Section 131 of the Karnataka Education Act, 1983. 3. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioners to approach the competent authority under Section 131 of the Karnataka Education Act.
