The petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by the Consolidation Officer. He has an alternative remedy to appeal the order before the appellate court. The writ petition is dismissed on the ground of alternative remedy. The matter pertains to the year 1983. In this wake the following directions are issued to the Settlement Officer of Consolidation: i. The Settlement Officer of Consolidation shall ensure that notices are served to parties in an expeditious time frame. ii. All parties are directed to cooperate in the proceedings before the appellate court. iii. The appellate authority shall ensure that the appeal is heard and decided as per law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
