JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader is directed to take notice for the respondents. 2. The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent-Tahsildar to consider the representation dated 05.05.2025 given by the petitioner at Annexure-‘J’. In the representation, the petitioner is contending that 2 acres in Sy.No.116 of Kurubarahalli Village, Tavarakere Hobli, Bengaluru South - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31454 WP No. 24298 of 2025 Taluk, Bengaluru, was granted to the petitioner’s husband late Sri Puttaraju, and his name was entered in the RTC. It is contended that after the death of Sri Puttaraju, the property devolved on the petitioner, who is the wife. Therefore, a direction is sought to the Tahsildar to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. 3. Having regard to the prayer made in the writ petition and submissions of the learned counsel, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent No.4- Tahsildar, Bengaluru South Taluk, is duty bound to consider the representation given by the petitioner and pass necessary orders for entering the name of the petitioner in the land records. Needless to observe that the Tahsildar shall verify the original grant register, the saguvali chit issue register, and other contemporaneous records to find out about the genuineness of the grant made in favour of the petitioner's husband. If it is found that the grant made in favour of the petitioner's husband and revenue records stood in his name, the Tahsildar shall - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31454 WP No. 24298 of 2025 proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the land records. 4. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly. 5.
