Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:110104-DB Court No. - 3 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 21760 of 2025 Petitioner :- M/S Ranjeeta Cold Storage Respondent :- Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited And Another Counsel for Petitioner :- Bidhan Chandra Rai,Stuti Rai Counsel for Respondent :- Udit Chandra Hon'ble Shekhar B. Saraf,J. Hon'ble Praveen Kumar Giri,J. 1. Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties. 2. This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by order dated March 28, 2024 and consequential bill dated April 8, 2025 with regard to arrears payable by the petitioner. 3. Sri Bidhan Chandra Rai, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that inspite of orders passed on January 16, 2024 by the coordinate Bench of this Court, the authority concerned has once again passed a cryptic order without dealing with the objections raised by the petitioner. He further submits that the impugned order is an unreasoned order and in complete violation of principles of natural justice. 4. Upon a perusal of the impugned order, we find merits in the arguments raised by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner. While brevity may be a virtue, but reasons are the soul of an order and if an order is bereft of reasons, the same cannot be allowed to stand. 5. In light of the above, the impugned order dated March 28, 2024 and consequential bill dated April 8, 2025 are quashed and set- aside with a direction upon the authority concerned to grant an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and thereafter, pass a fresh reasoned order in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from date. 6. With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Order Date :- 10.7.2025 Dev (Praveen Kumar Giri J.) (Shekhar B. Saraf, J.)
