GP FOR SERVICES I The Court made the following ORDER: Heard Sri Sk.Afzal Mohammad, learned counsel representing Sri K G Trimoorthy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri S.Raju, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-I for the respondents. 2. The above writ petition is filed challenging the proceedings vide No.G/1021/2024 dated 06.01.2025 suspending the petitioner pending inquiry. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a charge memo vide proceedings No.G/1021/2024 dated 10.12.2024 (Ex.P.1) was served on the petitioner on 28.12.2024. The petitioner submitted an additional written statement of defence dated 04.02.2025 (Ex.P.6). Learned counsel would 2 further submit that pending the inquiry, the petitioner was placed under suspension by proceedings impugned dated 06.01.2025 in the writ petition. 4. At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner confined his arguments and urged this Court to direct the 3rd respondent to expedite the inquiry in terms of G.O.Ms.No.91 General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated 12.09.2022. 5. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services did not refute the said submission. 6. The Government issued G.O.Ms.No.679 dated 01.11.2008 and G.O.Ms.No.91 dated 12.09.2022 fixing the timelines to complete the cases in three months and six months in case of simple and complicated cases respectively. 7. In the case at hand, the charge memo vide Procgs.No.G/1021/2024, dated 10.12.2024 was served on the petitioner on 28.12.2024 and the petitioner submitted additional written defence vide Ex.P.6 dated 04.02.2025. However, the inquiry has not been concluded so far. 8. Given the facts and circumstances and considering the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioners, without touching the merits of the matter, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage, with the consent of learned counsel on either side, directing the 3rd respondent to conclude the inquiry in respect of Ex.P.1 charge memo within three months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order strictly as per the Rules. No order as to costs.
