2. Petitioners are project affected as their land was submerged in Tehri Dam. According to them, they have not been given compensation as per Collateral Damage Policy, formulated by THDC.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that THDC is proposing to give compensation to petitioners as per 2021 policy, while petitioners are entitled to benefit of Collateral Damage Policy, formulated in 2013.
4. Petitioners allegedly made representation to Director (Rehabilitation), Tehri Dam Project on 22.09.2022. Learned counsel for petitioners submits that Director (Rehabilitation) may be
directed to take a decision thereupon. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that petitioners be permitted to make fresh representation.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed
2025:UHC:7723 of by permitting petitioners to make a fresh, separate representation. If petitioners make such representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken by Director (Rehabilitation), within eight months thereafter.
6. It goes without saying that THDC shall also be heard before taking any decision.
