Mondal, learned counsel for the opposite party No. 1. 2) This interlocutory application is preferred by the applicant for staying the Judgment and Award dated 31.10.2023, passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No. 1, Kamrup (M), Guwahati in MAC Case No. 519/2017, till disposal of the MAC Appeal. 3) Mr. Sharma, learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appeal has already been admitted by this Court and notice has been issued to the opposite parties, and the opposite party No. 1 has entered appearance, and there is a requirement of staying the impugned judgment and award, so passed by the learned Tribunal, till disposal of the MAC Appeal. 4) Mr. Mondal, learned counsel for the respondent No. 1 submits that operation of the impugned judgment and award may be stayed, subject to depositing 50% of the awarded amount before the Registry of this Court. 5) Taking note of the submissions of the learned counsel for the both parties, operation of the impugned Judgment and Award dated 31.10.2023 stands stayed, however, subject to depositing 50% of the awarded amount before the Registry of this Court, within a period of 4 (four) weeks from today. 6) In terms of the above, this interlocutory application stands disposed of.
