The Court made the following Order:
The Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the BNSS, is filed on behalf of the petitioner herein/A3 to grant anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No.60 of 2025 of Prohibition & Excise Station Rajamahendravaram South Police Station, East Godavari District.
2. The above said crime was registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 7B r/w 8B of the A. P. Prohibition (Amendment) Act,
2020.
3. Case of the prosecution in brief is that on 24.01.2025 at about 06.00 a.m., on receipt of credible information, the Prohibition and Excise Sub-Inspector along with his staff conducted raid at Near Murali Krishna Theatre in Dowleswaram Village of Rajamahendravaram Mandal and found the accused in

possession of 20 liters of ID arrack. The contraband was seized under the cover of occurrence report.
4. Heard. Perused the record.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the case against petitioner herein is only based on the confessional statement of co-accused and no other material is collected showing the involvement of the petitioner in the commission of offence.
6. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor opposed to grant bail on the ground that investigation is not completed and the petitioner herein had involved in four other crimes of similar nature.
7. In view of the submission made by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor that the petitioner herein is involved in other cases of similar nature, this Court is not inclined to exercise its discretion in granting bail to the petitioner.
8. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
