GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING 3 TCDS,J W.P.No.4002 of 2025 The Court made the following order: It is the case of the petitioner agency that it was given the assignment of publishing advertisement in different newspapers regarding “laying of foundation stone for the Vykuntapuram Barrage”. Pursuant to the work order, the petitioner published the advertisements and raised a bill for an amount of Rs.1,93,11,600/-. It is the specific case of the petitioner that even after completing the work entrusted to it, the respondent authorities did not pay the said amount. Questioning the said action, the present writ petition is filed. 2. On the other hand, the 6th respondent filed a counter affidavit stating that, as per Government Circular Memo No.114391/Budget.1, dated 13.05.2020, budget proposals to a tune of Rs.1,93,11,601/- under the Head of Account 4700-01-001-11-20- 260/261 were submitted to the Government by the Chief Engineer, Krishna Delta System, Vijayawada, by letter dated 16.02.2023. It is further stated that the said proposals were returned by memo dated 17.08.2023. In view of the same, the Chief Engineer, Krishna Delta System, Vijayawada submitted a detailed report vide letter dated 09.10.2024 for release of the budget for the amount claimed by the petitioner so as to arrange payment. It is further stated that the budget release orders are awaited from the Government and soon 4 TCDS,J W.P.No.4002 of 2025 after receipt of the letter of consent, the payment will be made to the petitioner. 3. On perusal of the averments made in support of the counter affidavit, it is clear that the petitioner has completed the work entrusted to it, and the respondents have also admitted the same and in fact budget proposals were sent earlier and the same were returned by letter dated 17.08.2023. From the above, it is clear that there is no dispute with regard to the claim of the petitioner. 4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Irrigation, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to pay an amount of Rs.1,93,11,600/- (Rupees one crore ninety three lakhs eleven thousand six hundred only) to the petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
