Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 2.The only prayer made by counsel for the petitioner is to direct the respondent no.2 namely District Magistrate, Meerut to consider and decide the application dated 16.05.2025 for renewal of fire- arm license. 3. On the other hand it is argued by learned Standing Counsel that respondent no.2 will take a decision in the matter expeditiously. 4. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. 5. In the facts and circumstances of the case, present writ petition is disposed of finally directing the respondent no.2 to pass appropriate orders on the application submitted by the petitioner for renewable of the fire-arm license strictly in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
