ON 02.04.2007 AND 27.11.2024 GIVEN TO THE RESPONDENT NO.2 VIDE ANNEXURE-D AND E TO THE WP.
THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR ORDERS, THIS DAY,
ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER:
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE R DEVDAS
ORAL ORDER
Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted 1 acre of land in Sy.No.398 of Hosur Village, Bidadi Hobli, Ramanagara taluk and District, as per Annexure-B dated 21.06.1994, along with many other persons. The petitioner was earlier called upon to pay the Kimat as seen at Annexure-C. However, it is contended that due to ignorance, the petitioner, did not pay the premium/kimath. However, till date Saguvali Chit has not been issued to the petitioner and therefore, the petitioner had made representations at Annexure ‘D’ and ‘E’ to the second respondent-Tahsildar for issuance of the Saguvali Chit.
3. Having regard to the prayer made in the writ petition and the submissions of the learned Counsel for the

petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that that third respondent-Tahsildar is duty bound to consider the representations and pass necessary orders. The Tahsildar is required to ascertain from the original records as to whether there was such an order passed by the competent authority on 21.06.1994 at Annexure-B, granting lands in question to the petitioner. If the Tahsildar finds that the claim of the petitioner is genuine, he shall proceed to ascertain as to whether Kimat was demanded and paid by the petitioner. If the Kimat is also paid, then the Tahsildar is required to issue the Saguvali Chit in accordance with law.
4. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to the third respondent-Tahsildar, Ramanagara Taluk to consider the representations dated 02.04.2007 and 27.11.2024 at Annexures-D and E and pass necessary orders for issuance of Saguvali Chit as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of
